Bracelets: An Article Of Jewelry On Your Wrist

Silver Bracelets
A bracelet is an article of jewelry which is worn around the wrist. Bracelets can be manufactured from leather, cloth, plastic or metal, and sometimes contain rocks, wood, and/or shells.

Types of bracelets include bangle bracelets, expansion bracelets, cuff bracelets, beaded braclets, charm bracelets, spiral bracelets and link bracelets. Some bracelets are also made up of gold, sterling silver and diamonds.

The origin of the term "bracelet" is from the Latin word "brachile" meaning "of the arm", via the Old French "barcel".

Bracelets are also used for medical and identification purposes, such as allergy bracelets and hospital patient-identification tags. Picture below is an example of a gold bracelet.

Gold and Diamond Christmas Tree by Steve Quick

Gold and Diamond Christmas Tree

It's christmas time once again and people are being busy to decorate their own home with christmas décor. Some of them are busy in making christmas tree while others prefer only to buy at malls.

Speaking of christmas tree, this one is not an ordinary christmas tree that is made of paper or foil but made of gold and diamonds.

Yes, Steve Quick Jeweler becomes the latest company to create a diamond Christmas tree. The Quick tree is made of five pounds of solid 18K gold with diamond-briolette ornaments and a layer of 200 carats of diamonds that form a glittering dusting of snow. The tree is topped with a 4.52 carat stone set in a platinum star. Steve Quick Jewelers estimates the tree at being valued over $500,000 (making it cheaper than the $1.8 million tree we saw recently).

The tree is being unveiled at the Steve Quick store in Chicago on December 7th and will be on display in the store throughout the season. Starting on December 17th the tree will be auctioned off on eBay with 100% of the profits going to the American Cancer Society.via
